Special Issue Guidelines

All Azimuth welcomes proposals for special issues on a rolling basis. This document provides guidelines for submitting proposals for special issues that align with the journal’s focus on peace, security, conflict, development, and other closely related subjects.

Proposal Submission

Authors interested in proposing a special issue should submit a comprehensive proposal  to the journal’s editorial office via . The proposal should include the following information:

  1. Title: A concise and informative title for the special issue.
  2. Guest Editor(s): Full name, affiliation, contact information, and a brief bio of the guest editor(s) responsible for overseeing the special issue.
  3. Rationale: A clear justification, of no more than 750 words, of why the proposed special issue is relevant and timely within the scope of the journal.
  4. Objectives: Clearly defined objectives and goals of the special issue, not to exceed 500 words.
  5. Scope: A description of the specific topics or themes that the special issue will cover, not to exceed 500 words.
  6. Article Contributions: A list of 6 to 10 prospective articles with brief summaries outlining their intended content and contribution to the special issue, ideally featuring abstracts no longer than 250 words.
  7. Timeline: A proposed timeline for the submission, review, and publication process of the special issue.

Article Selection and Peer Review Process

Each article included in the special issue will undergo an independent and blind peer-review process to ensure the highest quality and integrity of the published work. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations.

The guest editor(s) are expected to work closely with the authors to ensure the timely revision of accepted articles, addressing reviewers’ comments and meeting the journal’s formatting and style requirements.
